Stitch-n-Bitch: Turning Menopause Rage into Something Beautiful (well, sort of!)

Menopause Rage!!! Many of you may have heard of it. Some of us have lived it. And some of us have seriously considered sticking pins into something.......(uhum)

And that is how the idea for my Stitch-n-Bitch workshops was born.

I've wanted to launch these workshops for quite some time. During my own rather spectacular journey through menopause, I often felt the overwhelming need for a Vodou doll. You know, something I could channel all that frustration, anger and hormonal chaos into without actually causing bodily harm to anyone!

Vodou has a rich and complex cultural and spiritual history, and the pin-sticking dolls we see in horror films are not a fair representation of it. But the idea of creating a symbolic healing doll got me thinking. What if we could turn all that menopause rage into something creative, healing and, above all, fun within a safe and supportive environment.

In the workshops we will bitch about Menopause whilst stitching our very own healing Hormone Harmony Dolls. The workshops last 3 glorious hours and are designed to bring the Menopause community together in a safe space where we can support each other, talk openly, make new connections, share our stories and vent our frustrations.

It's about finding humour in the madness, making new friendships, and reminding ourselves that we don't have to navigate menopause alone.

The dolls are designed to be easy to put together and let's face it, they don't need to be pretty so sewing experience is absolutely not necessary!

The workshops will be in Dutch as well as in English and can be held anywhere so if you want to book one in your local pub or at the office, reach out to me please!
